WHO ARE WE?
                                                    
For over 35 years AMORC has been Macomb and Oakland Counties’ trusted peer-to-peer source of advice, support and advocacy for parents, family, guardians and friends of people of all ages with developmental disabilities.

AMORC is parents, family, guardians, advocates and friends of people with developmental disabilities.  AMORC started in 1975 and is affiliated with The ARC. AMORC is a not-for-profit 501c organization with an all volunteer (no full time) staff.

OUR MISSION      
                                        
§ Promote the general welfare of developmentally disabled individuals     
§ Foster development of appropriate programs  
§ Monitor and improve the quality of services
§ Promote awareness and understanding of services provided by MORC    
§ Mentor families and act as liaison with providers                                       
§ Provide support and training for members                                                
§ Promote life-long planning                                                                        
§ Facilitate guardianship transfer and sibling support                                   
§ Obtain funds to accomplish the above mission
